G&C heralds success of first six months for new south-west operation

G&C Finance & Consultancy is looking to double its operation in the south-west of England and south Wales following the unprecedented success of its first six months in the region.
Since opening an office in Cardiff in August, the 100 per cent residential development finance specialist has completed £20 million of deals across the region including three in Cornwall and four more in Bristol and the surrounding area.
G&C was set up to enable developers to access 100 per cent development finance to fully fund small and medium sized residential and mixed-use schemes, as well as bridging finance, speculative funding and other bespoke forms of property lending to the marketplace.
The company also offers a consultancy support function offering impartial advice and expertise on all aspects of property development including sales and marketing, build and construction and land procurement.
Steve Taylor, who was brought in as regional director following years of experience in the sector with DTZ and Redrow, said the new operation has surpassed G&C's expectations.
He said: "Since we launched in the south-west during the summer we have been inundated with enquiries and are delighted to a have sealed a number of high level deals with several more in the pipeline.
"G&C was established to fund ambitious small to medium sized house builders who might be looking to move away from larger companies and existing developers seeking to expand or set up their own business. No matter the size or location and irrespective of whether planning consent has been granted, G&C will consider funding for the purchase of land, construction and related costs of all projects with a projected gross development value in excess of £1.5 million.
