G&C recruits Construction Director to help steer G&C success

G&C Finance, one of the UK's fastest growing 100% development finance providers, has appointed Marcus Higgins as Construction Director.
Marcus, a qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor, joins from Francis Graves in Birmingham after a nine year career acting as a Project Monitor on a wide range of residential and commercial projects for both Clearing and Merchant Banks. In addition, Marcus also undertook the role of Employers Agent and Project Manager on both residential and commercial developments.
Based at G&C Solihull headquarters he is responsible for heading the four strong team which evaluates and monitors the construction process of all G&C projects UK-wide.
His key focus areas is to assist in the initial evaluation of all sites - regardless of whether they have planning permission or not, the preparation of all construction documents prior to the release of development funding and delivering practical advice to G&C clients on all elements of the construction process.
Commenting on his appointment Marcus said: "I have more than ten years experience in the property sector and have worked alongside banks and financial institutions for the same period of time. I understand the issues, the sensitivities and the written and unwritten rules for both which stands me in good stead to deliver effective results for G&C, the client and the banks.

G&C Finance was launched almost 20 months ago and has already financed 64 deals across the UK, generating more than £320m of development.
