£100m funding commitment arrives in Wales as G&C officially launches

100% development finance specialists G&C Finance has officially arrived in Wales and the South West, committing £100m of funding capital to residential and mixed used development projects across Wales and the South West of England property market.
More than 150 property professionals joined the team at the Hilton Hotel welcome event setting to hear of immediate and future plans and learn first hand of the expertise and opportunity that G&C is bringing to the marketplace.
Adrian Willet, Managing Director of G&C Finance said: "We have committed to an office to meet demand from the continued flow of serious enquiries generated from South Wales and the South West. The Cardiff team has already received a number of significant enquiries from both banks and developers since the news of our arrival in this part of the UK appeared in the local press.
"We already have a portfolio of around 15 sites in the region currently under construction, or in negotiation and we hope to double this number during the next 12 months. This is our goal and one I believe we will achieve."
The team, based in Windsor Place in Cardiff, is set to fund between 25 and 30 property deals over the next year within the South-West and Wales catchments area.
Regional Director Steve Taylor has recently been recruited by G&C to head up the team. Joining from Redrow where he was Land Director for the South West region Steve lives in Bristol and has previously worked for property agents DTZ for nearly five years as Head of Residential for the South West.
Steve Taylor added: "G&C has brought something fresh and innovative to the marketplace and this office has been opened to meet demand from those who want to take advantage of this style of approach. Our commitment to the region is reflected in the £100m capital injection G&C has set aside to plough into projects across the South Wales and South West."
